Torre Pozzella beaches near Ostuni in Puglia, Italy

Torre Pozzella is a nature reserve area with dunes and small beaches, so called after the presence of a tower, which carries the name. It was built between 1565 and 1569 by Bona, daughter of Isabella D'Aragona.

In addition to this tower Bona also built Torre San Leonardo, located on the north coast of Ostuni, and rebuilt the tower of Villanova. The plan of the three towers served to protect the population of Ostuni from Turkish attacks.

This area is consists of several small beaches surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. A wild and unspoiled area of unique beauty.

Getting there

The beaches of Torre Pozzella located at 9 km from Ostuni and can be easily reached by taking the SP 29 direction to Torre Pozzella. Or take the exit 'Torre Pozzella' from the highway E55 Bari-Brindisi-Lecce.
